  Board Vice-President Denise

  Bunte-Bisnett (Santee Cooper) recently represented  USSD in Daejon City, South Korea during KNCOLD's "Present and future of sustainable dam technology" Symposium at the end of November. USSD signed a MOU with KNCOLD (Korea ICOLD National Committee) in June during the annual ICOLD Conference in Vienna. The purpose of the MOU is to collaborate on dam safety opportunities. Bunte-Bisnett presented an update on Oroville as well as participated in discussions on potential research priorities.

  Board member Rod Eisenbraun (RJH Consultants) assumed the chair position for USSD's Education and Training Ad Hoc Committee. Part of the committee's role will be to review all workshop and training proposals as well as identify training opportunities

Dean Durkee (Gannett Fleming), Board president, attended ICOLD's 90th anniversary in Paris earlier this month. USSD was a founding member of ICOLD and shares the 90th birthday.
